Bar service

A bar counter built for the function

Vrindavan Tent Decorators sets up the bar for a wedding, a cocktail party, a corporate night, or any event in Uttarakhand, Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai and Goa.

The counter

How the bar is put together

The counter is a working station, not a table with bottles lined up at the last minute.

Glassware waiting on a dressed bar counter

Before the first guest

Front, glassware, ice and light

The front and the top are finished before anyone arrives. Glassware is counted to the guest list. Ice, garnish and a clear work lane sit where the person pouring can reach them without turning their back on the queue.

Bottles stay on the back, lit so they read as a bar and not as a spotlight in someone’s eyes. The queue is drawn away from the dinner aisle and away from the mandap, so a drink does not cross a ritual. At the end of the night the counter is struck and the ground is clear again.

Vrindavan Tent Decorators builds this the same way on a lawn in Delhi and in a hall in Mumbai.

The night

Which functions it joins

The same counter changes its manners with the room. It does not arrive as one fixed pub.

One counter, different evenings

Wedding, cocktail, corporate, or any event

On a wedding the bar opens when the family is ready for it — after the pheras, or with the cocktail that follows the sangeet. It does not compete with the ritual.

A cocktail party is built around the counter. The light stays warm, the standing room is real, and the music is agreed before the first pour. A corporate evening keeps a hosted bar that can go quiet for a speech. A birthday, a college night or a launch can take the same counter if the date asks for it.

Tell us the city — Jaipur, Goa, Uttarakhand or the others — and the hour the bar should open. We place it with the rest of the décor.
